Personal Responsibility…. Fault or Fiction?

We Americans have been living a lullaby of consumer comfort and easy bake answers. We have forgotten our survival skills and have taken for granted the perpetual feeding trough.

Our intuitive nature has dulled into the mild hum of complacency and blind trust in our providers.

We have put faith in a system of faulty mechanisms led by corporate profit and democratic lust.

History is in the works in such ways that we have crossed the threshold of reversibility that will forever alter the course of our existence from this point forward.

We have happened upon a time where all the laws of nature are being challenged. The genes of life are being scrambled and cellular barriers are being violated and intermingled to create new life forms never seen before in the history of this planet.

We’ve placed faith in our regulators and those we have paid to monitor the situation in our collective favor.

We have made a grave mistake and our trust has been misplaced and forsaken by those whose interest only serves their shares.

We have not seen a good return on our investment and our country is bankrupt in both morals and cash.

They have held us hostage in a paradigm of consumerism and the American Dream.
In the midst of our slumber we forgot to pay attention to those we’ve entrusted as our gatekeepers.

In the past couple of decades our food supply has changed dramatically in that a majority of it only resembles the food your grandma used to eat.

Profitability has driven a consumer environment that is void of culpability and nutrition in any appropriate sense of the word.

The overseers have mismanaged the codes of our very existence violating the patterns of life on a cellular level. They’ve fed it to the American public with the ease of a molester preying in the middle of the night.

As much as 80 percent of our food supply is contaminated with the perpetual criss-cross of bacteria and virus mixed in a Rubik’s Cube of genetic versions from multiple crops and animals.

Countries all over the world know that Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) have not been tested safe for human or animal consumption.  They watch in absolute astonishment as we Americans consume ourselves into obesity and early graves.

They are amazed at our complete disregard for our own survival and that of our children.

This is a façade of the most magnificent proportions with a price tag we cannot afford.
Since the inception of GMO products doctors have reported skyrocketing rates of allergies, auto-immune disorders, ADHD, asthma and autism.

In the past 20 years America has suffered from a:
  • ·        400 percent increase in allergies
  • ·        300 percent increase in asthma
  • ·        400 percent increase in ADHD
  • ·        An increase of between 1500 and 6000 percent in autism-spectrum disorders.  [1]
Plus, we have the highest rates of cancer in the world!

Without proper labeling and testing of these new life forms, how can we be certain that they are not the cause? Why such resistance to informed consent?

Are we prepared to watch our children suffer disease and premature death from something so preventable? Our children are not guinea pigs. They trust us to protect them and provide for them. They don’t even see it coming, and neither do we.

The problem stands, that we have been cloaked in responsibility for our own health and wellbeing, while the integrity of our food supply has been destroyed by toxic contaminates and shady business practices.

Average Americans aren’t aware of how mindless consumption will ultimately affect the health of the entire nation and that of the world. They see their choices in limited perspective as they are seduced by pretty packages and chemical substitutes.

Self regulation and industry standards are suited for profit, valued over that of every human life. The corporate machine is programmed to strip the sustenance from its product until it remains a hollow form of what we used to call food.

How can you make a conscience choice when you aren’t even aware you have a choice? What is a viable choice when you can’t even pay the rent?

The subsidization and de-regulation of GMO crops have closed the doors on much of our global competitiveness. Half the world has banned our conventional food imports.
Industry has responded to global resistance often limiting GMO products to American markets, because they know we won’t ask what’s in it.

The affordability of genetically whole food is out of reach for most Americans living pay check to pay check in order to sustain the most basic needs.

They’ve played on our vulnerability and swindled us out of our common sense. They’ve bullied our farmers and made a mockery of our agricultural heritage. They’ve poisoned our food, our water and our minds with total disregard for human life and scientific integrity.

You cannot justify a reorder of genetic existence and then feed it to an entire population without their knowledge or consent. It is against the liberty of everything for which this country stands, one nation, under God, still indivisible…and there will be justice for all!!

Genetically Engineered Food Facts:
  • GE food has never been proven safe for human consumption; scientists have no idea what it will do to people who eat it.  There is a significant body of scientific evidence that has proven serious human health risks associated with it.
  • As far as U.S. regulatory agencies are concerned, if a biotech company says its products are safe, that is enough for approval.
  • Genetically engineered food is not labeled in the United States. At the same time, more than 40 countries have either banned GE food outright or have laws requiring the labeling of it—giving citizens in those countries the freedom to choose not to eat it. [2]

Where’s Superman When You Need Him?

We  learned in our early years that Superman never gave up, even with kryptonite in hand. We may not have super hero strength, but we Americans must find our will.

Our strength and our sense of American pride has been damaged by recent developments within the confines of corporate greed and agricultural terrorism.  Corporate America has commercialized our lives, contaminated our food supply and sold us a new way of thinking, consuming, behaving and living.

Mindless consumption habits have established themselves so deeply that they are rooted in the modern American psyche.

We’ve become a society of blind consumers who are perpetually victimized by propaganda in service of the master manipulator chasing the corporate buck . We have been manipulated into accepting false food products cloaked in a nutritional façade and rolled in sugar.

An incredible act of greed and deception has been committed against the will and liberty of the people. Outside the bio-tech circle, many Americans are still under the false assumption that they are consuming the same foods they grew up with.

Bio-techies have made a presumptuous and devastating decision for all of us and we will all pay the price, as will all infinitive future generations. For they know very well, he who controls the food controls the world.

We, being the collective unit of this country, are malnourished in the sense that we have been ingesting that which is devoid of value and nutrition. One in three children are now obese, not because we’re over feeding them, quite  the  contrary we are under feeding them. They are suffering from malnutrition because the food supply is void of valuable sustenance.

It has been determined, based on the health of our newest generations, that they will suffer significant decrease in their life span. For the first time in history, by and large, parents will see their children die from malnutrition related diseases before the child reaches middle age.

Unlabeled transgenic food has been infiltrated into our diet without our knowledge or consent. This is the first generation that has been primarily GMO raised. Nearly 80-percent of industrial food products contain GMO ingredients.

Our children are being fed without question of corporate intent or consequences. Malnutrition is the direct result of corporate greed and mindless mass consumption.

Our soil is toxic and stripped of nutrients. Our honey bees are near extinction and our leaders continue to choose profits over life. We have been robbed and mislead; still there are large proportions of society that remain totally unaware of the vast agricultural devastation we are experiencing as we sit on the sidelines as corporate slaves.

What you consume physically, mentally and spiritually manifests itself. The health of our being is greatly dependent on what we take in from the environment and how we digest. This is our process, our development and our manifestation.

An incredible act of bravery and mass recognition has to arise in order to overcome what seems inevitable. It has become a serious matter of self preservation as we teeter on the verge of a mighty breakdown within the self serving confines of consumer protections and public health. Wake up and smell the kryptonite there Superman! The world is starving!

An Open Letter to You

We find ourselves at a particular juncture, a fork in the road, where history allows us a perfect opportunity to benefit from 20/20 hindsight without the detriment  of looking back 15 years down the road to an inevitable agricultural devastation.

In our recent past, many of those opportune moments have remained un-seized as proud and arrogant leaders forged ahead without the sense God gave a rock. That hindsight is notably present at this point in history and commands our attention to call it by its given name, be it common sense.

It is high time that we give the foolish and dim-witted bio-techies a taste of their own poison. It is time that we refuse to feed toxic chemicals to our children. It is time that we stop contaminating our food, our earth and our children.

Our farmers have been bullied and hushed into a corner with GMO subsidies while corporations and regulatory agencies have turned a blind eye for a whole lotta cash. They relieved themselves of any culpability when they gave corporations rights exceeding those of every American.

It is an inexcusable travesty of justice when the interests of corporate dollars are valued over the life of even one child, much less that of a nation and the entire world. Where does man fail, but when he does not heed the call of innocents, but instead perpetuates the suffering of generations? For the love of money shall not endure your soul dear sirs!!

Round up your followers and call your nation into resistance, like that of their weeds that do not die! Our food, our lives, our future and our sustainability as a human race depends on this moment in time and the clarity of your voice. It is time to be heard!

It is time to withhold your power and recall your dollar in reclamation of your humanity! Hear the call oh sensibility! Be it that these are the days of darkness and we have been bestowed silos of rubble upon our Amber Waves of Grain; we have been fed an army of insignificant and hollow promises in the name of sustenance! Take back and reclaim your land of freedom and fruitful liberty! Escape your board of strapless bondage and forego the voices of yourselves as you peer later upon what you choose to ignore now.

They have genetically altered nearly every seed, telling you it’s the same as grandma used to make, yet they have not produced any significant scientific guarantees of our safety, nor that of our agricultural heritage.

Is it sensible in any definition to manipulate and rearrange the very cells and genetic codes of our existence, in violation of every process of which life depends?  All intelligent beings know clearly that every living cell of this planet is interconnected with every level of our existence. You don’t have to be a brilliant scientist to catch on to that.

Please for a moment, if you would, imagine our forefathers, your grandfathers, and their grandfathers… all here now, knowing that we’ve allowed massive manipulation to the very structure of life? Mix it up with the genetic existence of other kingdoms and life forms, add large amounts of toxic poisons and feed it to the entire world. What do you think they would say?

They didn’t have all of the propaganda feeding them incessantly through every orifice of their body. They didn’t have the barrage of voices telling them what to think, what to eat and whom to be. They sowed their seeds by the blood of their brows. They worked harder on the backs of our American Dream than anyone cares to imagine! They cared about their communities, died for their land and our freedom.   We may have come a long way since then, but we certainly have forgotten some valuable lessons of the past, as far as our future is concerned.

Hear the cries of your forefathers and future generations of our children! It is we, it is now. It is life altered on every level of humanity and existence.  If we allow them to carry forth their genetic revolution unquestioned and unexamined we will reap what we sow and it will become our destiny, as we have allowed it to come forth and devour our children.

A corporation has no need for sleep, it does not lie idly awake nights thinking of its carnage. It is only the life of which we have given it claim. It is we that must deny it life and refuse its poisonous seed. Take back your father’s land and sow the seed of your grandfather’s hand and we shall all reap what we sow!!

A grass roots effort must begin in our home towns and communities to overcome complete genetic alteration. We must reestablish a local connection to our food supply. With deregulation of GE Alfalfa, we have very little time to regain our footing before conventional and organic crops are contaminated and ultimately extinct. With the swiftness of wind and wildlife, our agricultural heritage will be quickly depleted along with our choice for anything pure or pesticide free.

“One week before Roundup Ready alfalfa was deregulated, USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack testified before the House Committee on Agriculture, where Chairmen Frank Lucas (R-Oklahoma) led a charge to press the USDA to fully deregulate the alfalfa. A political action committee and individuals associated with Monsanto donated $11,000 to Lucas' campaign last year, and Lucas has received $1,247,844 from the agribusiness industry during his political career, according to watchdog site www.opensecrets.org. Since 1999, the top 50 companies holding agricultural or food patents have spent more than $572 million in campaign contributions and lobbying efforts, according to a report released last year.”[1]

The Center for Food Safety needs your support and attention to this very important matter of national food security. http://www.centerforfoodsafety.org/

Please contact your legislators and let them know you will not vote along GMO party lines!

Thank you for all of your efforts and courage!

Bisphenol A - Political Hell Freezes Over

(SALEM, Ore.) - On January 16th, 2010, the US Food and Drug Administration finally hopped ship in a last ditch effort to save what’s left of their plastic boat. It was hardly a rush to reckless abandonment in the wake of mounting toxic bisphenol glaciers shining brightly as beacons in the night.

Both the National Toxicology Program at the National Institutes of Health and the FDA announced they “have some concern about the potential effects of bisphenol A on the brain, behavior, and prostate gland in fetuses, infants, and young children."

Bisphenol A (BPA) is an industrial chemical that has been present in many hard plastic bottles and aluminum food and beverage cans since the 1960's (FDA). What they are not telling you is that BPA is also a synthetic estrogen and notable endocrine disrupter.

As the boiling pot of controversy has mounted, so have the growing cries of our scientific community outside their handful of economically influenced lackeys.

Log onto ourstolenfuture.org to view the following notable scientific studies:

Experiments with mice show that exposure during pregnancy to very low doses of bisphenol A scrambles the chromosomes of their daughters' fertilized embryos, ie., the pregnant females' grandchildren.

Experiments with rats demonstrate that low level exposure to bisphenol A during fetal growth causes breast cancer in adults.

Thirty-eight of the world's leading scientific experts on bisphenol A have warned policy-makers of potential adverse health effects of exposure to the widespread molecule used to make plastics and food can lining.
Low level BPA exposure stimulates rapid reproduction of breast cancer cells.Watch it happen: youtube.com/watch?v=N3_cYZKksvI

Slowly, our FDA has been backed into a corner of admission and submission. The mountains of substantiated evidence of BPA’s adverse health affects can no longer be ignored behind self serving lobbyist dollars and political shanties.

A group of chemical manufacturers, toy makers and retailers sued the city of San Francisco after the city’s Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted a 2006 ordinance prohibiting the sale, distribution and manufacturing of children’s products containing BPA, along with other dangerous chemicals.

Other plaintiffs were the American Chemistry Council, California Retailers Association, California Grocers Association and Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association. Corporate dollars once again took precedence over public health.

Approximately 7-8 billion pounds of BPA are produced annually. BPA can be found in almost all Americans. FDA released estimates saying they suspect 100 percent of Americans are exposed due to vast use of BPA plastics in everything from coating for children's teeth to prevent cavities, metal food can liners, plastic food containers, baby bottles, water bottles, juice, milk and water containers, microwave “safe” ovenware and eating utensils and much, much more. Revenue from BPA based products is estimated to be over $700,000 per hour*. It’s your money and your life.

Note what FDA did not say. They did not make any statement to suggest any exercise of federal power over manufacturers or distributors by way of a ban. They simply made a cautionary announcement to inform the public of this “concern”.

Can we agree that it will take years, if not generations to clear the product base from the store shelves and warehouses? Note the lack of FDA effort to make an official stance where it counts. They’ve been aware of the scientific data for decades. They are giving manufacturers ample opportunity to move their toxic product, while they spend countless more years and public funds to research and attempt to invalidate what they already know to be true.

The poisoning of Americans has become evident and justified through free choice and free flow of the almighty dollar. Business has become blind to the needs of the consumer; we no longer have a face, nor their respect.

Your dollar is their power. Your knowledge is your defense. Every time you make a purchase you cast a vote.Think about it. Are you going to assist them in moving their toxic products during the government stall to meaningful legislation?

Cancer is a corporate by-product. I’m tired of hearing people say it. I can always predict by the look on their face… “Oh well, everything gives you cancer.” It’s the corporate cop-out. That’s what they want you to say.

Your purchases prove that they can sell you anything. They know you don’t care where your food comes from. They know that you don’t want to know. Just feed me. It’s the epoch of instant gratification.

For those of you who haven’t surrendered yourselves to such atrocities, there are some viable alternatives like:
  • Get rid of all of your plastic containers, especially containers imprinted with the recycling number 7, as many of those contain BPA. You can put them to good use storing non-food items. Replace your plastic with clear glass. Made in the USA glass is safest due to lead, mercury and cadmium contaminates found in some foreign glass. There are several
BPA free options available in stores if you must harbor plastic. Look for the label “BPA Free”.
  • Stop heating plastic in the microwave! I see this at work all day long. The BPA leaches into your food. Use glassware whenever possible.
  • Stop eating out of cans, at least until manufacturers get the picture that they’re not allowed to poison their customers. You can help by contacting them and voicing your concerns about BPA in their products. Your favorite products have a phone number on the label. Call them. Tell them it’s only 2 cents more (we’ll pay four!) to manufacture non-BPA canned products according to Eden Foods who marketed the first canned foods without BPA. The exception to this is tomato sauce. Tomato based products emit the highest levels of BPA due to their acidic nature. Manufacturers have yet to utilize BPA-free packaging of canned tomato-based products. I purchase all of my tomato and marinara sauces in glass jars. Depending on the type, you can spice it up to create any of your favorite red sauce dishes.
  •  Love your kids. Pack their lunch. Remember, most school lunches come in cans.
At first, yes, there will be some resistance for you and for them, but you will quickly recognize behavioral and physical improvements in your children when you begin
to cleanse their diet of chemical toxins. It’s worth the time!
  •  Be sure your child’s plastic toys, especially infant toys say “BPA Free” on the label. Again, the FDA has some concerns about bisphenol A’s affects the brain, behavior, and prostate gland in fetuses, infants, and young children.

As recent as 2008 the FDA claimed BPA was safe, but gave consumers tips on how to reduce exposure. The FDA panel's unbiased opinions were called into question when reports surfaced in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the head of the panel took a $5 million donation from a manufacturer who maintains BPA is safe.

The FDA’s credibility has no validity, as they have seemingly accepted a myriad of corporate bribes by allowing food manufacturers and chemical companies to corner the market on the poisoning of America. It is a false sense of security to place trust in government regulation to protect your health. The FDA appears to serve the corporate dollar even as the Titanic is sinking. Their recent jump into the lifeboat of admission only reveals how dire the situation must be.

America the Munchausen Mama

April Scott Salem-News.com
See the complete article with reference links and an audio version at: http://www.salem-news.com/articles/june072010/munchausen-mama-as.php

(SALEM, Ore.) - The most important job in the world is being a mother. There is nothing more satisfying that raising a child, knowing that even though you’ve made mistakes, overall you did your best. You loved them, guided them and nurtured them into well adjusted adults.

It’s the job of a mother and I wouldn’t trade it for all the money in the world. I wouldn’t neglect that responsibility, put her safety in jeopardy or provide any sort of misguidance in sabotage of her development. I would never purposely lie to her or hurt her. You couldn’t pay me enough money. I would go to any extent to protect her, because that’s what a mama does for her children. It never changes, regardless of their age. At least that is the way it’s supposed to be.

I’ve learned in life, nothing is the way it’s supposed to be, nor is it what it seems.  It is foolish to believe that the world works that way. There are too many elements and control factors going on behind the scenes that we can’t possible have anything, but a limited concept of reality.

A child is a product of their environment. We become what we consume, both nutritionally and intellectually. We are a collective manifestation of our consumption habits. You’ve heard it before, you are what you eat. If Garbage in, then garbage out.

We are so busy and intentionally distracted keeping pace and surviving that we don’t take the time to reflect on the details, the ingredients, the ingredients that make up our food, as well as our daily lives.

Within the barrage of media stimulation we forget to think and act for ourselves. The line blurs and dulls the natural inclination to protect ourselves from harm.

Powerful, unseen forces are at work within the American food industry that are far beyond our control or conceptualization as individuals. We are nearly powerless to define it, much less confront it, lest we become overwhelmed and overtaken by the mere strength and convolution of it all.

It’s kind of how a child feels when it knows that it must submit to an excessively authoritarian parent. The best survival tactic, they soon learn, is to shut up and smile. Eventually they become complacent and unaware of just how entangled they are in the delusion of safety and false reality.

We, like our children, are in absolute danger of responding through the hand of complacency. America, like a mother, is accountable to the entire world through our righteous indignation in pursuit of global superiority.

Taking into account this inherent responsibility, I falsely imagined this concept would be diligently safeguarded by all means. America has fallen short of expectations with regard to the length it will go to possess the almighty dollar in sacrifice of life and liberty of each and everyone of it’s citizen, and all of that pass by mother liberty for safe harbor.

America feeds the world and in a sense, she is the global mother. Until recently, she bore a proud past of agriculture and innovation, coupled with an absolute determination to build something great, something lasting.

We have entrusted our safety to those that have other interests at heart. Profit is the heart of American industry, without concern for its casualties.

Corporations are legally bound to their shareholders to attain the largest profits possible. That means they are continually looking for ways to cut corners, using the cheapest ingredients available. Buyer beware doesn’t even begin to cover it. The food industry is a prime example of putting profit before humanity.

Money is not more important than human life, not more important than the life of a child. You can call me naïve, you could say I don’t have any concept of the big picture. Sacrifices have to be made for the greater good. What is the greater good, if not in the best interest of our children?

The modern American child has no real notion of nutrition, much less a majority of adults. I thought I knew. I thought the fact that I was feeding her a well balanced diet, containing something from the fruit and veggie group, meat group, grain and dairy group meant I had it covered.

Sure, I read labels. I paid attention to salt and sugar content, fat content, and of course vitamins and minerals. Trans fats were avoided and calories were observed. Like most Americans, I didn’t really read the ingredients, I didn’t know how to pronounce them, I figured they knew what they were doing. I trusted they wouldn’t put anything in there they wouldn’t eat themselves or feed their own families.

A mother who slowly poisons her child by adding minor amounts of chemicals to his/her food over a period of time is diagnosed with Munchausen syndrome. She is motivated by attention and America by the money. Think I’m reaching? Lets illustrate.

Bleached and Enriched Flour
In Modern Bread, The Broken Staff of Life, Dr. Elmer Cranton M.D., graduate of Harvard Medical School, exposed the flour bleaching process. He explains that flour is treated with a “chemical bleach, similar to Clorox to make bread a brighter white”. “The bleaching process leaves residues of toxic chlorinated hydrocarbons and dioxins.” “That toxic residue causes nervousness and seizures in animals.” His article points out that experiments reported in a major British medical journal, The Lancet, showed that “dogs fed exclusively on white bread died of malnutrition within two months. Dogs similarly fed only bread made with stone-ground, whole-wheat flour lived indefinitely in good health“.

Dr. Cranton says that when grain is made into refined white flour, more than 30 essential nutrients are largely removed. Only four nutrients are added back in a process called "enrichment." He says, “using this same logic, if a person were robbed of 30 dollars and the thief then returned 4 dollars to his victim for cab fare home, then that person should be considered "enriched" by 4 dollars, not robbed of 26 dollars.”

In addition, Dr. Cranston reports that only vitamins B1, B2, B3, and the iron are added back. Nutrients which are removed and not returned, include 44% of the vitamin E, 52% of the pantothenic acid, 65% of the folic acid, 76% of the biotin, 84% of the vitamin B6, and half or more of 20 minerals and trace elements, including magnesium, calcium, zinc, chromium, manganese, selenium, vanadium, and copper. [1]

If you dig deeper you’ll find that Alloxan is one of the main active ingredients used in the flour bleaching process. Scientists have known for years that alloxan causes diabetes; in fact, they feed in to lab animals to give them diabetes in order to test the drug.  How does alloxan cause diabetes? Dr. Hari Sharma's Freedom from Disease, explains how alloxan causes diabetes. “The uric acid derivative initiates free radical damage to DNA in the beta cells of the pancreas causing the cells to malfunction and die.”[2]

Bisphenol A
On January 16th, 2010 both the National Toxicology Program at the National Institutes of Health and the FDA announced they “have some concern about the potential effects of Bisphenol A on the brain, behavior, and prostate gland in fetuses, infants, and young children.”

Bisphenol A (BPA) is an industrial chemical that has been present in many hard plastic bottles and aluminum food and beverage cans since the 1960’s. BPA is also a synthetic estrogen and notable endocrine disrupter. That’s right, gentlemen. Tell me how do you feel about being force fed female sex hormones? It’s in all of your canned food products at varying levels, with the limited exception of Eden Foods and few other obscure brands.

Dr. Fred Vom Saal, Professor of Biological Sciences, University of Missouri, released a study reporting that BPA exposure alters the way your cells function at extremely low exposure levels. It damages the male reproductive system, causes brain damage, prostrate cancer and breast cancer. He measured BPA levels in several popular canned food products including tuna, tomato sauce and peas. Food was removed and the cans were filled with ultra purified water and allowed to sit for 24 hours. The ‘canned’ water was then added to human breast cancer cells causing rapid cell reproduction.[2] (watch video below)

Lisa Frack, a concerned mother, testified in favor of SB 1032 before of the Oregon State Senate. It would have phased out BPA from all reusable food and beverage containers intended for children under 3, including baby bottles and sippy cups. BPA from formula cans and baby food jars would have also been phased out.

Lisa’s testimony reminded us that the FDA assigned the very same level of concern to fetal exposure to amphetamines as they have to Bisphenol A”. The Oregon Legislature did not pass Senate Bill 1032 .Revenue from BPA based products is estimated to be over $700,000 per hour. [5]
Money, money, money...

High Fructose Corn Syrup
Mercury is used to separate the corn from the corn starch to make High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS).

In January 2009, The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy released a study finding 50 percent of tested popular food products were positive for mercury contamination from HFCS, according to a study in the scientific journal, Environmental Health.

A separate study was also issued earlier by the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP) detecting mercury in nearly one-third of 55 popular brand name products. They looked at food and beverage products where High Fructose Corn Syrup is the first or second highest labeled ingredient—including products by Quaker, Hershey’s, Kraft and Smucker’s. [6]

High fructose corn syrup is used as a sweetener in beverages and foods such as breads, cereals, breakfast bars, lunch meats, yogurts, soups and condiments. On average, it is estimated that Americans consume about 45 pounds of high-fructose corn syrup per year.

"Mercury is toxic in all its forms. Given how much high-fructose corn syrup is consumed by children, it could be a significant additional source of mercury never before considered.”
[7]

Seventeen of the fifty-five products tested contained more than detectable levels of mercury.

Those products were:
Quaker Oatmeal to Go bars Jack Daniel's Barbecue Sauce, Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce, Nutri-Grain Strawberry Cereal Bars, Manwich Gold Sloppy Joe, Market Pantry Grape Jelly, Smucker's Strawberry Jelly Pop-Tarts Frosted Blueberry, Hunt's Tomato Ketchup, Wish-Bone Western Sweet & Smooth Dressing, Coca-Cola Classic: (no mercury found on a second test) Yoplait Strawberry Yogurt, Minute Maid Berry Punch, Yoo-hoo Chocolate Drink, Nesquik Chocolate Milk and Kemps Fat Free Chocolate Milk

Genetically Modified Foods
An estimated 75 to 80 percent of our processed foods contain some form of genetically modified (GM) ingredients. Many GMs are in the form of  inorganic sugar, corn and soy.

Organic standards prohibit GMO contamination. Many consumers don’t understand the process used to develop genetically modified crops.  It involves a careful re-configuration of genes combining e-coli bacteria, soil bacteria and in many cases the cauliflower mosaic virus that causes tumors in plants. They add an antibiotic gene and then artificially force the new genetic combination into plant cells using several gene invasion techniques.[9] (watch video below)

The cells of the bacteria and virus combine and invade the cells of the plant to the point that our food can now be referred to as transgenic.

The seeds are designed to be Round Up Ready and now the same company that produces the pesticide, also produces the seed. Some crops even produce their own insecticide, in fact, bt corn, produces a bacterial toxin. The corn itself is actually registered as an insecticide.

In the documentary ‘Seeds of Deception’ we see then Vice President George Bush Sr. on a field trip to the Monsanto plant. Earnestly, he splices a few genes and then, Monsanto executives complain about difficulties getting around FDA regulation, so Bush advises them to call him because “we’re in the de-reg business”. [9]

Later George becomes president and we see his Vice President, Dan Quayle announcing that there would be no regulation of Genetically Modified Foods outside the normal over-site received by other products.

FDA scientists were outraged, pointing out the lack of testing and serious health effects reported in lab animals. So George hired Monsanto’s Sr. Attorney and created a position for him within the FDA.

Now GMs are categorized as “Generally Recognized As Safe” and “substantially equivalent to other foods”, so they require no testing or labeling.

Animal studies reported that GM foods caused stunted growth, impaired immune systems, bleeding stomachs, abnormal and potentially pre-cancerous cell growth in the intestines, impaired blood cell development, misshaped cell structures in the liver, pancreas and testicles, altered gene expression and cell metabolism, liver and kidney lesions, partially atrophied livers, inflamed kidneys, less developed organs, reduced digestive enzymes, higher blood sugar, inflamed lung tissue, increased death rates and higher offspring mortality as well.[10]

Twenty-five countries require labeling of GM food. The ‘GE Right To Know Act’ has yet to decided upon by Congress. [11]
Transparency, hope and change somehow escaped Obama’s mind in support of a worldwide ban on the labeling of GMs.  In February, he appointed Islam Diddiqui (former Monsanto lobbyist) as chief agricultural negotiator.

Now, USDA and FDA released a position paper opposing labeling for genetically modified food. The U.S. claims that letting consumers know whether or not GM/GE products are contained in food is “false, misleading, or deceptive.”

Have our regulatory agencies sold us out to corporate America, allowing them to experiment on us and our children and the entire planet via our food?

I see it worse than a bad plotted science fiction movie, that appears to be slowing destroying all real creation with little drops of poison and mutant organisms. But maybe I’ve watched too much T.V.

Nevertheless, organic food is looking better than ever. Cost and all. By all means, considering all of this is just a drop in the bucket, if we as a nation continue to feed our children like we do,  might we conclude Munchausen syndrome?

US One of Top Five Food Safety Violators

Salem-News.com (Mar-14-2010 23:34)

Findings based on contamination levels collected between 2003 and 2008 identified China as the number one food safety threat.
(LONDON / SALEM) - A new global monitoring tool identifies the United States as one of the top five worst food safety offenders in the world. We take rank with China, Turkey, Iran, and Spain.
This extensive integrated network was designed by Kingston University researchers to offer an instant snapshot of the state of food safety around the world.
The rankings were established through electronic tracking of countries that issue the most food safety alerts and those that produce the greatest number of faulty or contaminated foods.
Findings based on contamination levels collected between 2003 and 2008 identified China as the number one food safety threat.
The comprehensive system was unveiled in February at a meeting of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
All countries collectively issue tens of thousands of food alerts each year, say the developers. This creates an urgent need to filter the enormous body of information to highlight where to place concentrated efforts. They reported that the program would help countries identify food safety transgressors and process a high volume of recall data.
"With increased international trade, the right of the citizen to an adequate diet emphasizes the importance of coherent government responses to food safety and security", reports say.
The interactive tool allows users to quickly access global food safety information with a wide range of report patterns. Graphs allow users to see food safety patterns and compare them to those of other countries.
Professor Declan Naughton, one of the system's developers, told Medical News that the new program is unrivaled in its ability to analyze food safety data. "No other system can reflect the complexity of this information in a snapshot form," he said. "It can be particularly helpful to developing countries new to food testing because information is easy to access and available in minutes."
Researchers say they recognized a growing need for the program because of wide variations in food safety monitoring in developed and undeveloped countries. The site explains that weekly food alerts and recalls can provide vital information for immediate response.
The system generates comprehensive information to assess long-term patterns and trends that can help countries formulate plans of action.
Naughton believes the model could have even broader applications. "We'd like to develop the tool to create an international alert system that will provide real time information about emerging patterns and problems."
Developers report that their system was developed to aid the Beijing Declaration on food safety and security that was signed by over fifty countries to help build a comprehensive program for monitoring food safety and security on behalf of their citizens.

GM Food... Feeding the Hungry or Population Control?

Salem-News.com (Apr-26-2010 23:48)
April Scott Salem-News.com
Around 75% percent of our processed foods contain some form of genetically modified ingredients.
(SALEM, Ore.) - Today Salem-News reports that a joint experiment by Russia’s National Association for Gene Security and the Institute of Ecological and Evolutional Problems has revealed that hamsters fed genetically modified (GM) foods produce grandchildren that are unable to produce fourth generation offspring.
Scientist Alexei Surov described the experiment, in which they monitored the behavior, weight gain and birthrate of several groups of hamsters. Upon birth of the second generation they noted slower rates of growth and sexual maturity. The next generation was unable to produce[1].
Genetically modified foods will feed the hungry. I guess that’s one way of putting it.
You could also call it population control. Technically, the final result would be an end to world hunger. They didn’t lie. Who are they? Please refer to my Salem-News story “While We Were Sleeping...GM Food and the Brink of No Return”.[2]
Russian scientists are not the only ones that have warned of noted health effects caused by genetically modified foods. Let us not forget that the scientists that were fired after they discovered serious health effects in animals after feeding them GM food products.
Believing in the potential of GM foods, UC Berkeley's Ignacio Chapela and Arpad Pusztai, a plant genetic modification expert from Scotland Rowett Research Institute, were commissioned to conduct the first independent study on animals fed GM foods.
Studies showed stunted growth, impaired immune systems, bleeding stomachs, abnormal and potentially pre-cancerous cell growth in the intestines, impaired blood cell development, misshaped cell structures in the liver, pancreas and testicles, altered gene expression and cell metabolism, liver and kidney lesions, partially atrophied livers, inflamed kidneys, less developed organs, reduced digestive enzymes, higher blood sugar, inflamed lung tissue, increased death rates and higher offspring mortality as well[3].
On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear its first arguments regarding genetically modified alfalfa. This decision will set precedents for future laws and regulations with regard to growing all GM foodstuff..
The world is watching as Monsanto and the U.S Government promote the growth and continued expansion of their genetic modification program. They have patented the pig, the salmon and other species and genetically engineered their genes to produce offspring with more meat.
An estimated seventy-five percent of our processed foods contain some form of genetically modified (GM) ingredients. Are we willing as a nation to risk the lives of our future children and grandchildren to discover that these effects are only observed in animals? How likely is it that we will be experiencing these same effects on a personal level as we consume more genetically modified organisms against our will?
I’ll say it again, are they attempting to feed the world or is it population control? I guarantee that Monsanto and the FDA can answer that. I also guarantee that we will all know the result of this experiment very soon.
Here is the Voice of Russia report from Moscow:
Russia has started the annual Days of Defense against Environmental Hazards from the 15th of April to the 5th of June with the announcement of sensational results of an independent work of research.
Scientists have proven that Genetically Modified Organisms are harmful for mammals. The researchers discovered that animals that eat GM foodstuffs lose their ability to reproduce.
Campbell hamsters that have a fast reproduction rate were fed for two years with ordinary soya beans, which are widely used in agriculture and contain different percentages of GM organisms. Another group of hamsters, the control group, was fed with pure soya, which was found with great difficulty in Serbia because 95 percent of soya in the world is transgenic.
Concerning the experiment carried out jointly by the National Association for Gene Security and the Institute of Ecological and Evolutional Problems, Dr. Alexei Surov had this to say.
“We selected several groups of hamsters, kept them in pairs in cells and gave them ordinary food as always,” says Alexei Surov.
“We did not add anything for one group but the other was fed with soya that contained no GM components, while the third group with some content of Genetically Modified Organisms and the fourth one with increased amount of GMO. We monitored their behavior and how they gain weight and when they give birth to their cubs. Originally, everything went smoothly. However, we noticed quite a serious effect when we selected new pairs from their cubs and continued to feed them as before. These pairs’ growth rate was slower and they reached their sexual maturity more slowly. When we got some of their cubs we formed the new pairs of the third generation. We failed to get cubs from these pairs, which were fed with GM foodstuffs. It was proved that these pairs lost their ability to give birth to their cubs,” Dr. Alexei Surov said.
Another surprise was discovered by scientists in hamsters of the third generation. Hair grew in the mouth of the animals that took part in the experiment. It’s unclear why this happened.
The researchers cannot understand why a programme of destruction is launched when animals take GMO foodstuffs. They say that this can be neutralized only by ceasing to use these foods.
Consequently, scientists suggest imposing a ban on the use of GM foods until they are tested for their bio-security. The results of Russian scientists coincide with those of their colleagues from France and Austria. For one, when scientist proved that GM maize was harmful to mammals, France immediately banned its production and sale.
The scientists who carried out the experiment say that it’s too early to make far-reaching conclusions about the health hazards of GMO. They insist that there is a need to carry out comprehensive research.
They suggest implementing the project, “Safety Gene Technology” at the innovation centre, “Skolkovo” which is being set up near Moscow.[1] Russia Says Genetically Modified Foods are Harmful - Salem-News.com[2] While We Were Sleeping... Researcher: Glyphosate (Roundup) or Roundup Ready Crops May Cause Animal Miscarriages

Salem-News.com (Feb-19-2011 11:45)

(PURDUE) - A bombshell has been quietly dropped on the website of the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance. I should disclose, upfront, that the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance (FARFA) is founded and run by my close friend Judith McGeary.
Said bombshell is an open letter written by Dr. Don Huber, professor emeritus at Purdue University, to Tom Vilsack, presenting a finding of a correlation between either glyphosate or Roundup Ready crops and a new, previously unknown organism that may be the cause of animal miscarriages and infertility.
As the letter, printed below, notes, this research is still preliminary. However, Huber, who has 40 years experience working as a scientist for "professional and military agencies that evaluate and prepare for natural and manmade biological threats, including germ warfare and disease outbreaks," believes this should be treated as an emergency until more research can confirm or disprove these initial findings.
Needless to say, the recent deregulation of GE alfalfa is something to think about, because that will dramatically increase the use of Roundup on animal feed and the feeding of Roundup Ready crops to our livestock. There is more to be said on this, but I want to tread carefully and stick to facts that I can confirm, so stay tuned.
Jill Richardson :: Researcher: Glyphosate (Roundup) or Roundup Ready Crops May Cause Animal Miscarriages
Dear Secretary Vilsack:
A team of senior plant and animal scientists have recently brought to my attention the discovery of an electron microscopic pathogen that appears to significantly impact the health of plants, animals, and probably human beings. Based on a review of the data, it is widespread, very serious, and is in much higher concentrations in Roundup Ready (RR) soybeans and corn-suggesting a link with the RR gene or more likely the presence of Roundup.  This organism appears NEW to science!
This is highly sensitive information that could result in a collapse of US soy and corn export markets and significant disruption of domestic food and feed supplies. On the other hand, this new organism may already be responsible for significant harm (see below). My colleagues and I are therefore moving our investigation forward with speed and discretion, and seek assistance from the USDA and other entities to identify the pathogen's source, prevalence, implications, and remedies.
We are informing the USDA of our findings at this early stage, specifically due to your pending decision regarding approval of RR alfalfa. Naturally, if either the RR gene or Roundup itself is a promoter or co-factor of this pathogen, then such approval could be a calamity. Based on the current evidence, the only reasonable action at this time would be to delay deregulation at least until sufficient data has exonerated the RR system, if it does.
For the past 40 years, I have been a scientist in the professional and military agencies that evaluate and prepare for natural and manmade biological threats, including germ warfare and disease outbreaks. Based on this experience, I believe the threat we are facing from this pathogen is unique and of a high risk status. In layman's terms, it should be treated as an emergency.
A diverse set of researchers working on this problem have contributed various pieces of the puzzle, which together presents the following disturbing scenario:
Unique Physical Properties
This previously unknown organism is only visible under an electron microscope (36,000X), with an approximate size range equal to a medium size virus. It is able to reproduce and appears to be a micro-fungal-like organism. If so, it would be the first such micro-fungus ever identified. There is strong evidence that this infectious agent promotes diseases of both plants and mammals, which is very rare.
Pathogen Location and Concentration
It is found in high concentrations in Roundup Ready soybean meal and corn, distillers meal, fermentation feed products, pig stomach contents, and pig and cattle placentas.
Linked with Outbreaks of Plant Disease
The organism is prolific in plants infected with two pervasive diseases that are driving down yields and farmer income-sudden death syndrome (SDS) in soy, and Goss' wilt in corn. The pathogen is also found in the fungal causative agent of SDS (Fusarium solani fsp glycines).
Implicated in Animal Reproductive Failure
Laboratory tests have confirmed the presence of this organism in a wide variety of livestock that have experienced spontaneous abortions and infertility. Preliminary results from ongoing research have also been able to reproduce abortions in a clinical setting.
The pathogen may explain the escalating frequency of infertility and spontaneous abortions over the past few years in US cattle, dairy, swine, and horse operations. These include recent reports of infertility rates in dairy heifers of over 20%, and spontaneous abortions in cattle as high as 45%.
For example, 450 of 1,000 pregnant heifers fed wheatlege experienced spontaneous abortions. Over the same period, another 1,000 heifers from the same herd that were raised on hay had no abortions. High concentrations of the pathogen were confirmed on the wheatlege, which likely had been under weed management using glyphosate.
Recommendations
In summary, because of the high titer of this new animal pathogen in Roundup Ready crops, and its association with plant and animal diseases that are reaching epidemic proportions, we request USDA's participation in a multi-agency investigation, and an immediate moratorium on the deregulation of RR crops until the causal/predisposing relationship with glyphosate and/or RR plants can be ruled out as a threat to crop and animal production and human health.
It is urgent to examine whether the side-effects of glyphosate use may have facilitated the growth of this pathogen, or allowed it to cause greater harm to weakened plant and animal hosts. It is well-documented that glyphosate promotes soil pathogens and is already implicated with the increase of more than 40 plant diseases; it dismantles plant defenses by chelating vital nutrients; and it reduces the bioavailability of nutrients in feed, which in turn can cause animal disorders. To properly evaluate these factors, we request access to the relevant USDA data.
I have studied plant pathogens for more than 50 years. We are now seeing an unprecedented trend of increasing plant and animal diseases and disorders. This pathogen may be instrumental to understanding and solving this problem. It deserves immediate attention with significant resources to avoid a general collapse of our critical agricultural infrastructure.
Sincerely,
COL (Ret.) Don M. Huber

While We Were Sleeping... GM Food and the Brink of No Return

Updated Jan. 30, 2011 - Original publication Mar. 1, 2010

April Scott Salem-news.com
(SALEM, Ore.) - Now that USDA has approved unregulated cultivation of Genetically Modified Alfalfa, millions of Americans are started to awaken to the fact that an estimated 75-percent of our processed foods already contain some form of genetically modified (GM) ingredients.[1]

Many consumers still don’t understand the process used to develop these GM foods that have been deemed “substantially equivalent” to other foods. They have been bypassed with little regulation and forced upon an unknowing public without consent.

The process involves a careful re-configuration of genes combining e-coli bacteria, soil bacteria and often the cauliflower mosaic virus that causes tumors in plants. Antibiotics are added and artificially forced into the plant's cells with a gene invasion technique. (Watch the process below)[2]. As a result, farmers are able to douse nearly unlimited amounts of Roundup Herbicide on the crops. Together, the crops and the herbicide function as a destructive force killing off other living organisms.

Ultimately they can't say what their practices and experimental processes will do to the environment, our insect population or the human population, although clear and undeniable results are becoming ever more apparent with no indication that they will heed mother natures warnings.

Out of eight hundred reviewed GE food applications submitted to the USDA, no environmental impact statements (EIS) were said to be conducted prior to approval.

Monsanto, the chief bio-tech firm and instigator of the gene revolution, started in 1901 as a chemical company. Their first product was saccharine, a coal tar product, otherwise known as Sweet’N Low. Monsanto’s past also embraces some of the world's most controversial developments like Agent Orange, aspartame, dioxin, sulphuric acid, Astroturf, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), plastics and synthetic fabrics, research on uranium for the Manhattan Project that led to the construction of nuclear bombs, styrene monomer, an endless line of pesticides and herbicides (Roundup), rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone), genetically engineered crops (corn, potatoes, tomatoes, soy beans, cotton and much more)[3].

The U.S. Department of Justice has been investigating Monsanto for violations of anti-trust and monopoly laws stemming from their GE Soybean product. Justice Department spokeswoman Gina Talamona confirmed antitrust regulators have been conducting a formal investigation of the bio-tech seed industry.

Several million acres of GE soybeans and cotton are purportedly infested with glyphosate-resistant and tolerant weeds. Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Roundup, which by design destroys all pests and invasive plants that come in contact with the crop.

According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the number of glyphosate applications by farmers has risen considerably[4]. It is shown that the more resistant the weeds become to the herbicide, the more chemicals the farmers will have to apply to crops to get the same effects.

Many scientists have expressed concern that the developers have no idea what new genealogical traits may come of this massive genetic experiment, because genes tend to elicit multiple and sometimes unexpected characteristics. And since no “official” human testing of possible health effects have been scientifically published, can we logically conclude that their lack of product testing, safety regulations and resistance to labeling means they're hiding something, a giant human biological experiment perhaps?

What has science revealed about the health effects in animals?
Believing in the potential of GM foods, UC Berkeley's Ignacio Chapela and Arpad Pusztai, a plant genetic modification expert from Scotland Rowett Research Institute, were fired after they were commissioned to conduct the first independent study of GM foods.

Legitimate, independent studies have reportedly been banned due to Monsanto's refusal to supply untainted company based samples. Arpad Pusztai was hired to conduct animal feeding studies. He and other scientists were shocked at the results. Independent studies showed stunted growth, impaired immune systems, bleeding stomachs, abnormal and potentially pre-cancerous cell growth in the intestines, impaired blood cell development, misshaped cell structures in the liver, pancreas and testicles, altered gene expression and cell metabolism, liver and kidney lesions, partially atrophied livers, inflamed kidneys, less developed organs, reduced digestive enzymes, higher blood sugar, inflamed lung tissue, increased death rates and higher offspring mortality as well[5]. He was promptly fired two days after his announcement.

Rob Edwards, Environmental editor of Scotland’s Sunday Herald wrote of another study “genetically modified (GM) food could give you cancer. That is the warning from one of Scotland's leading experts in tissue diseases.” “Dr Stanley Ewen, a consultant histopathologist at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, says that a cauliflower [mosaic] virus used in GM foods could increase the risk of stomach and colon cancers.” [6]

The Washington Post already exposed some of Monsanto’s prior deceptive practices in January 2002, when staff writer Michael Grunwald published “Monsanto “Hid Decades Of Pollution - PCBs Drenched Ala. Town, But No One Was Ever Told”. Grumwald explains that for nearly 40 years, while producing the now-banned industrial coolants known as PCBs at a local factory, Monsanto Co. routinely discharged toxic waste into a community creek in Anniston, Alabama and dumped millions of pounds of PCBs into open-pit landfills. He also published some of what was thousands of pages of Monsanto documents -- many with warnings such as "CONFIDENTIAL: Read and Destroy". They show that “for decades, the corporate giant concealed what it did and what it knew”.

Grumwald states that documents reveal that in the fall of 1966, Monsanto hired a Mississippi State University biologist named Denzel Ferguson to conduct some studies around its Anniston plant. He arrived with tanks full of bluegill fish. This is what he reported to Monsanto about the results in Snow Creek: "All 25 fish lost equilibrium and turned on their sides in 10 seconds and all were dead in 3 1/2 minutes." "I've never seen anything like it in my life," said Mack Finley, another former Ferguson graduate student, now an aquatic biologist at Austin Peay State University. "Their skin would literally slough off, like a blood blister on the bottom of your foot." "It was like dunking the fish in battery acid," recalled George Murphy, another one of Ferguson's graduate students.
The problem, Ferguson concluded, was the "extremely toxic" waste water flowing directly from the Monsanto plant into Snow Creek, and then into the larger Choccolocco Creek, where he noted similar "die-offs." The outflow, he calculated, "would probably kill fish when diluted 1,000 times or so."
He warned Monsanto: "Since this is a surface stream that passes through residential areas, it may represent a potential source of danger to children." He urged Monsanto to clean up Snow Creek, and to stop dumping untreated waste there. Monsanto did not do that -- even though warnings continued[7].

There's more
An Associated Press investigation revealed contracts detailing Monsanto, the world's biggest seed developer, is "squeezing out competitors, controlling smaller seed companies and protecting its control over the multibillion-dollar market for genetically altered crops".

It is estimated that Monsanto's patented genes are inserted into roughly 95 percent of soybeans and 80 percent of corn crops grown in the US, according to a review of several Monsanto licensing agreements and dozens of interviews with seed industry participants, agriculture and legal experts[8].

Frankly, I can’t understand why people aren’t rising up in arms and screaming from rooftops about the bio-technical creation of Genetically Modified foods and the cavalier attitude in which it has been thrust upon an unknowing public. Even now, it appears that it remains unquestioned by Americans and deliberately unregulated because of political maneuvering, high dollar lobbies and a quite possibly a handful of ego-driven regulators with delusions of world domination dancing in their heads.

They have undermined our freedom of choice by refusing to label their products. Are you not a bit uncomfortable that Monsanto, a former chemical company / now agricultural company (by all appearances) is controlling the safety reins of our food supply? Can they be trusted to make sound decisions affecting worldwide public health with a past full of deception affecting public safety? Does this not have catastrophe written all over it?

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) are charged with overseeing and monitoring the safety of our food supply, but as history shows, many former Monsanto executives have become high ranking appointees and top officials in these agencies. Can we agree that this is equivalent to the fox guarding the hen house?

Has the public safety of Americans been “sold out” to mad scientists for cash and promises of controlling the world? He who controls the food controls the world.

With a new president and a new agenda, those fighting against Monsanto looked to President Obama for hope. The Center for Food Safety asked the United States to re-assess its previous decision “in light of the change in administration.” In March 2009, The United States filed a response in California District Court stating that its position has not changed[9]. This has also been the policy of our last four administrations regardless of political affiliation. Crossing political party lines, whether we have voted Democrat or Republican. To date they have also agreed that the public does not have the right to knowingly choose non-GMO foods. How’s that for transparency?

With  recent USDA approval of GMO alfalfa, we just may have permanently lost about every biological right we have. They own multiple patents on life. Where is the line to be drawn?

Now that our elected officials have sided with the big boys, there is no turning back. Will this moment go down as the biggest biological disaster in history?

It seems, under the circumstances, that Mrs. Obama’s Childhood Obesity program could be undermined by the company she keeps, since her husband’s administration apparently dances to the beat of the GM bio-tech drum.

I ask you again, Mrs. Obama, what foods do you think our children should avoid? In truth, wouldn’t many of those products contain some of Monsanto’s most notoriously unhealthy products? Perhaps your organic garden best reveals what you choose to feed your own children? Should we not follow your example?

Some final thoughts...
Beneath public radar, there has been a silent infiltration of GMOs into our food supply with minimal testing and reportedly misrepresented results. This company has reorganized nature on a genetic level crossing not only species, but entire kingdoms. Then, by all appearances, conspired with our own government to saturate it into our food supply without public input or opinion, much less Environmental Impact Statements, labeling or regulations?

How, by any stretch of the imagination, is this not a serious human rights violation?
What about the thousands of unhappy farmers who have been sued by Monsanto after their GM seeds made their way onto farmers’ land? The civil court judge concluded in short it ultimately didn’t matter how the genetically altered seeds got onto to farmer's land. Whether they blew off a truck, were carried by the wind or brought in by birds or wildlife… the farmers had still infringed upon Monsanto’s patent rights. Those poor farmers were forced to destroy all of their crops and generations of seed storage. See “The Future of Food” by Deborah Koons Garcia[10].

Monsanto has contaminated and pursued the destruction of millions of seeds from whence our forefathers bore from the sweat of their brows. For generations, our nation’s great farmers nurtured and even risked their lives to cultivate, maintain and safeguard the quality and purity our agricultural heritage. This is a blatant travesty to every farmer that has tilled the earth of this fine country!

We live in the United States of America. Frankly, as a US citizen, I feel scammed and outraged that I have been made an unwilling participant in this giant biological experiment. I feel raped on a genetic level and traumatized at the thought of feeding GM food products to my children. Where’s my lawyer? Does this not violate my constitutional rights?

Our Bill of Rights prohibits the federal government from depriving any person of life, liberty or property without due process of law. Wikipedia says Liberty is a concept of political philosophy and it identifies the condition in which an individual has the right to act according to his or her own will. Has this not taken place against our will?

Monsanto’s Web Site says: “Our Human Rights Policy is guided by the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, which provides the most widely recognized definition of human rights…
Furthermore, it says ...Here as recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world; Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people; Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law…”

Author's note: Little of this information that I’m sharing with you is new. This debate has gone on for at least two decades or more. In mainstream media it has received very little coverage, because typically they are guided by advertising dollars. Food manufacturers have plenty of that. This article was written using a compilation of the research, which is diligently noted below. As a consumer, please educate yourself and realize there is something you can do about it.
